Banana Bread

Bon Appétit posted a banana bread recipe on Friday and I was determined to not let my week old bananas go to waste. Now, the end result of BA’s banana bread was nice but I like a spiced banana bread. BA’s recipe had no spices at all. I stole a list of spices from another banana bread recipe and added them to BA’s. I also didn’t have marscapone cheese, which I can assume is used in conjunction with the baking soda to make the bread rise, so I used buttermilk powder and heavy cream instead. I think my addition of the heavy cream made the bread a bit softer so when I make this again, I may add a touch more flour. I’ll probably also mash the bananas a bit finer. My sister also requests that I add chocolate chips. I’ll post the recipe when I have my bread texture figured out!

Also, is banana bread a cake? Or a bread?
